Scheduling Matches
Weeks will run from Wednesday to Tuesday. This can't be moved, and if a match is unplayed through someone not being available then their opponent wins 2-0. If it's because no connection could be made, it's 1-1.To assist with the scheduling of matches (as posts can get lost on the blog) we have set up this forum. Feel free to sign-up and use the boards.
Blood Bowl Manager
All games to be uploaded to the manager (details above) please. Not only does this allow us to keep a track of player and team stats, but it ensures I know which matches are OK to validate. Makes my life easier. No replay, no validating... Only one of you needs to do it though.Disconnections
Will either be replayed, if there is time, or an agreed score assigned if not. If a score can not be agreed on then there may be a need for the hammer, but we'll assume for now we're all fairly reasonable and can agree this between ourselves.Teams
Any teams - choose 1 and go with it, I'll keep teams of the same race apart as far as possible. In season 2 I'll look to potential for seeding.Divisions and the Nursery League
Assuming that there are at least 16 of us, there will be 4 divisions (in the NFL style) of 4 teams; Elbow, Buffoon, Clown and Dignitas. Each team will play the other three teams in their division once. The top two from each division will advance to complete in a 1 leg knockout competition to win the Blood Bowel. Drawn matches continue until a winning TD is scored.On the assumption that there are more than 16 people listed below, there's a need to offer home to the overspill. This is the Nursery League. This league will consist of those without a team in one of the 4 divisions and a number of people with a second team, that can replace their team the following season. The Nursery Legue will be run as an Open, but with each team allowed the play each other team just once. Should ease scheduling for those with 2 teams on the go.
At the end of the season, the team performing worst across the 4 divisions will drop out, to be replaced by the highest positioned player within the Nursery League who does not have a team in there. In the event that there is more than one coach without a team in the big leagues, more than 1 team will be bumped. No more than 1 season should be spent in the Nursery league. Bumped teams can join it...
